SistersIN is proud to announce a new partnership with Henderson Group, who join the programme as a Growth Partner , supporting the continued growth of the leadership and mentoring initiative for 16-18 year old girls across Northern Ireland.

Through this partnership, Henderson Group will support SistersIN’s mission to continue empowering young women with the confidence, leadership skills and real-world networks needed to shape their futures through leadership modules, projects, mentoring & job shadowing.

With a strong legacy of community impact and leadership development across Northern Ireland, Henderson Group’s partnership brings valuable industry insight and inspiring role models into the SistersIN network. The strength of this partnership is further enhanced by the breadth of Henderson Group’s operations, with its diverse entities: Henderson Wholesale, Henderson Retail, Henderson Foodservice and Henderson Group Property. Each offering unique insight into different areas of business and leadership.

This partnership reflects a shared belief that when young women are given access to the right support, networks and opportunities, their confidence and ambition can grow exponentially.

As part of the partnership, the team at Henderson Group will have opportunities to support the programme through mentoring, job shadowing, and event engagement, helping mentees connect in school learning with real-world leadership journeys.

Partnership Manager at SistersIN, Ella Rourke, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Henderson Group as one of our Growth partners here at SistersIN. Their commitment to developing future talent and investing in communities across Northern Ireland makes them a natural fit for our mission.

Partnerships like this are essential in helping us continue to grow the reach and impact of the programme, ensuring more young women can access mentoring, leadership development and the confidence to help them transition into their next phase.”

Group Human Resources Director at Henderson Group, Kathy Simpson, said:

“Organisations like SistersIN play a vital role in shaping the future workforce. By encouraging young women to be the best they can be, helping them see what is possible, and providing the support and confidence to get there, the impact is truly powerful.

At Henderson Group, we place great value on gender diversity and the strength that comes from different perspectives, experiences and ideas. Empowering young women is incredibly important to us, but equally, it’s about creating an environment where everyone plays a role, including men actively supporting women to succeed and lead.”

The partnership marks another exciting step in SistersIN’s continued growth and sustainability, strengthening the programme’s ability to connect young women with mentors, experiences and opportunities that build confidence, ambition and leadership capacity across Northern Ireland.
