SONI Renews Growth Partnership with SistersIN to Support the Next Generation of Female Leaders

SistersIN is delighted to announce the continuation of its Growth partnership with SONI, as the organisations enter their third year of working together to empower and inspire the next generation of female leaders across Northern Ireland.
The renewed partnership reflects a shared commitment to developing confidence, leadership skills and ambition among young women aged 16–18 through the SistersIN leadership and mentoring programme.
SONI, Northern Ireland's electricity Transmission System Operator, has supported SistersIN since 2023, helping hundreds of young women access mentoring, leadership development opportunities and meaningful connections with professional female role models.
Through the SistersIN programme, pupils are matched with mentors from a wide range of sectors and professions, while also participating in leadership skills workshops, job shadowing experiences and pupil-led leadership projects that create positive impact within their schools and local communities.
As SistersIN continues to grow, the partnership will support the organisation's long-term ambition to reach even more young women across Northern Ireland. During the 2026–27 programme year, SistersIN will work with over 70 schools and support between 800 and 1,000 girls through its leadership and mentoring programme.

Since launching in 2022, SistersIN has experienced significant year-on-year growth, supporting almost 2,000 girls. By 2026–27, the programme will be working with over 70 schools across Northern Ireland, creating greater opportunities for young women to develop the confidence, skills and experiences needed to become future leaders in their schools, communities and workplaces.
Through continued collaboration, SistersIN and SONI are helping to ensure that more young women have access to the support, networks and opportunities they need to thrive and lead.
